Creating a High Performance Lifestyle-by Mark Verstegen

For the last three months, I have been going to a fitness center at work (Intel, Chandler. A company that used to be called Core Performance, now known as EXOS, offers personal training classes at a subsidized cost. There was a talk at work today by the President and Founder of Athletes’ Performance and Core Performance, now called EXOS. There were a few good pointers from the talk that I want to document so that all of us can benefit from the talk. We all know the talk, we just got to walk the talk. -Get off all tech gadgets one hour before you fall asleep, relax and black out. -Get a lot of sleep, rest and recover. 8 hours is the golden number. -Wake up and plan out your day. Have a mental to-do list. -Drink water & follow up with three bodily movements. -Start you day with a heavy breakfast-fuels one up and kicks up the metabolism. -Keep hydrated though out the day. It keeps the metabolism up. -Snack often, after every 3 hours. -Purples-blueberries, brinjal, and beet for brain well being; red- cherries and tomatoes for Heart well being; Orange- Oranges and Carrots for body immunity and I forgot the rest :-(. -Movement- workout, walking - At the beginning of the year, plan out your whole year, week by week. The above are all I remember. Will update the list as and when I find more pointers. I am pumped up to give these a try, Are you? Will you?
